President <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/joe-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Joe Biden</a> capped off his <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/biden-will-continue-three-part-vacation-as-he-heads-to-another-beach-on-saturday" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lengthy vacation</a> without stepping out of his beach house for three straight days, and the self-proclaimed &#8220;defenders of democracy&#8221; in <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/legacy-media" target="_blank" rel="noopener">legacy media</a> do not seem to care that much as to what exactly he is doing behind <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/biden-administration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">closed doors</a>.
On Tuesday, Politico&#8217;s West Wing Playbook <a href="https://www.politico.com/newsletters/west-wing-playbook/2022/08/23/the-anti-biden-authors-paying-for-biden-polls-00053347" target="_blank" rel="noopener">wrote</a> a cheeky headline: &#8220;TRULY BIDEN HIS TIME (sorry)&#8221;
&#8220;All week/weekend long, the White House reporters camped out in Rehoboth Beach, Del., waited for Biden to leave for a nice bike ride or walk on the beach. And waited. But after decamping from Wilmington for his beach house in Rehoboth on Saturday evening, the president didn’t do much of anything,&#8221; Politico&#8217;s writers observed. &#8220;As of this newsletter’s publication, he hasn’t been out in public for three days.&#8221;
It is a bit weird, is it not? The president can go AWOL for three straight days, and the media does not blink an eye.
A lot can happen in 72 hours. The Taliban, for example, can retake Afghanistan. That calamity <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/al-qaeda-surging-again-nearly-a-year-after-bidens-afghanistan-withdrawal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">happened</a> last year when Biden was on vacation, prompting him to cut his time-off short.
Of course, we know that the media has had a bit of a hands-off approach throughout Biden&#8217;s three-part two-week vacation.
Ten days ago, reporters asked Biden — pedaling by on the beautiful beaches of Kiawah Island, South Carolina — whether or not he would speak to the press.
Biden said, &#8220;No.&#8221;
The response from the press gaggle wasn&#8217;t a condemnation of his administration&#8217;s lack of transparency, rather it was a round of laughs.

Why would they laugh?
The realist would say it is because the legacy media is an arm of the Democratic Party and the journalists there were simply excited to be at the beach with Uncle Joe.
At best, these journalists are just lazy.
According to former CBS reporter <a href="https://mobile.twitter.com/markknoller/status/1559890936578056192">Mark Knoller</a>, Biden is now outpacing former Presidents Donald Trump, Barack Obama, and George W. Bush for the number of vacation days taken at this point in their presidency. Biden has taken 49 trips and 150 days of vacation. Trump had only taken 132 days at this point.
Yet, CNN appears to think that the big takeaway from Biden&#8217;s time away from the White House is that the president can finally redo the drapes.
In a story <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/23/politics/white-house-renovations-joe-biden/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">titled</a> &#8220;Biden&#8217;s summer vacation allows time for White House renovations,&#8221; CNN&#8217;s Kevin Liptak buried at the bottom of the article the enormous number of vacation days the president has taken.
Liptak ended his article repeating the White House&#8217;s defense of the commander-in-chief&#8217;s time away from the office.
&#8220;White House officials make the point that Delaware is closer to Washington than the destinations of Biden&#8217;s predecessors,&#8221; Liptak said — sans any rebuttal from experts or critics.
Consider that when Trump was in office, he could barely drink a Diet Coke without the entire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/cbs-passport-propaganda-and-trump-beware-the-government-media-complex">government-media complex</a> descending upon him and questioning why he chooses to fuel his body with the aspartame-ridden beverage.
Yet Biden doesn&#8217;t step out of the house for three days, and the best our Big J Journalist betters can do is a measly write-up in Politico and a recap of his home decor plans at CNN.
That juxtaposition of the media treatment of the two commanders-in-chief sort of sums it all up.
